It's time for another iOS 12.2 beta.
Apple today released iOS 12.2 beta 2 to registered developers. If you're a dev, you can grab the update by going into Settings > General > Software Update on your iOS device, or by pointing your web browser at Apple's Developer Center.
The update to iOS 12.2 brings with it a few notable features. Apple News will launch in Canada with this update, and Apple is improving the user interfaces for the Wallet app and for Apple Pay Cash. You can customize Screen Time by day with iOS 12.2, as well, and Apple has improved Safari privacy with the update. iOS 12.2 adds support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit on third-party TVs, too.
iOS 12.2 also hints at Apple's second generation AirPods. The update includes a hidden "Hey Siri" setup screen for AirPods, hinting that Apple's next totally wireless earphones will let you activate Siri using that phrase.
Apple hasn't said when iOS 12.2 will be launched to the public, but we'll likely see at least a few more beta releases for developers before the update is available for everyone.
Apple today also released watchOS 5.2 beta 2 to developers. So far, there haven't been any major new features discovered in the update.
