Will you pick up the OnePlus 6T if it launches on T-Mobile?

OnePlus 6

OnePlus has been on a pretty consistent run over the years. Ever since the company launched its first smartphone, it has managed to find a soft spot for consumers willing to fork over cash for an unlocked handset. Selling directly to consumers wasn't always the easiest thing for OnePlus, but as the company has matured the process has gotten a lot easier, too.

Over in Europe, OnePlus has managed to secure deals with wireless carriers, making it a bit easier for folks in that neck-of-the-woods to pick up a new handset when they want, without having to worry about getting it directly from OnePlus.

However, things aren't the same in the United States.

If you want to buy a OnePlus, your best bet is directly from OnePlus, which means an unlocked handset that only works on T-Mobile's and AT&T's networks here in the States. That's not a bad thing or out of the ordinary by any means, but in 2018 some might expect an unlocked handset to support all of the major wireless carriers in the U.S., and I don't think that's too crazy of an ask.

Still, support from a wireless carrier in the U.S. would be a big boost for OnePlus, and rumor has it that T-Mobile is going to be that carrier around the time the OnePlus 6T launches. That will probably be October, so we might be hearing the Un-carrier's CEO, John Legere, hyping up the newest OnePlus flagship sooner rather than later.

If OnePlus can get its new smartphone on T-Mobile's network, that might be a huge step in the right direction for the company. It's not a secret that, in the U.S. at least, most people prefer to buy their phone(s) from their carrier of choice. And for anyone who is a OnePlus fan, but hasn't pulled the trigger on a phone just yet, getting it on T-Mobile store shelves might be enough to make a hesitant customer make the jump.

So I have to ask: If the OnePlus 6T does indeed launch on T-Mobile, will you be picking one up? Bonus question: If you aren't already a T-Mobile customer, will you switch networks to get the new OnePlus flagship? Let me know!
