President Donald Trump today nominated former FCC commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel to retake her seat with the agency. Rosenworcel served on the commission for several years under the Obama Administration. Her term lapsed early this year and she was forced to vacate her seat. Rosenworcel is a Democrat and brings balance to the agency, which now has two Democrats and two Republicans. FCC Chairman Ajit Pai congratulated Rosenworcel on the nomination and suggested he looked forward to working with her again. Trump hasn't indicated if or when he might nominate a fifth commissioner to fully staff the agency.
