After we got our first look at a new Sony Xperia phone with a tall 21:9 display last week, more details and images of the upcoming Sony hardware have leaked.
New renders show the Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. Shared by WinFuture, the images depict two phones with tall 21:9 displays, with the Xperia 10 boasting a 5.9-inch screen and the Xperia 10 Plus packing a 6.5-inch display. Both phones appear to have slim bezels around their tall FHD+ displays, save for a fairly large forehead up top.
Other specs for the smaller Xperia 10 include an octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. Around back is a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP depth-sensing camera. There's also said to be a 2870mAh battery powering the whole package. The expected price for the Xperia 10 is €349 EUR ($394 USD).
The larger Xperia 10 Plus will reportedly pack an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset along with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. Around back there's a 12MP main camera that, despite being a slightly lower resolution, is said to be of a higher quality than the Xperia 10's main snapper. The secondary rear camera is reportedly an 8MP sensor. Pricing for the Xperia 10 Plus is said to be €429 EUR ($485 USD).
We've seen smartphones move to taller displays lately, with many 18:9 and 19:9 screens on the market. The 21:9 displays on these Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus models stand out, though, offering extra tall screens that could be useful for showing more info while browsing the web or watching movies on the go. Both phones are expected to debut at MWC later this month.
