The Galaxy Tab S5e isn't the only new tablet announced by Samsung today.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) was revealed today as an even more affordable Android tablet option. While the Galaxy Tab S5e starts at €419 EUR ($473 USD) in Europe, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) costs €210 EUR ($237 USD) for the Wi-Fi model and €270 EUR ($305 USD) for the LTE version.

What you get is an Android 9.0 Pie tablet with a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 TFT screen, octa-core Exynos 7904 processor, and 2GB of RAM. There's 32GB of storage built into the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), but you can add up to another 400GB with a microSD card. Also included is an 8MP camera on the backside of this new tablet and a 5MP front-facing snapper.

Rounding out the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)'s spec list is a 6150mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Samsung also touts that it's included a Kids Mode that offers educational apps as well as the ability for parents to track and control what content their children can access and how much time they can spend with the tablet.

With its lower cost and stereo speakers, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) could be an option for folks who want an Android tablet for entertainment on the go. The included Kids Mode means that it could be used for an entire family, too.

Samsung says that the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) will launch in Germany on April 5th. It doesn't appear that the new tablet has been announced for any other markets quite yet, but we'll let you know if that changes.
