Verizon will offer its spam and robocall blocking features to customers for free

Spam calls are annoying, but soon Verizon customers will have access to free spam and robocall blocking.

Verizon will begin offering its spam and robocall blocking features to customers for free in March. The features will be available all Verizon customers with smartphones that support them, including iPhone and Android devices.

Verizon currently offers a spam call management feature called Call Filter that will alert you if an incoming call is likely a robocaller, spam, or potential fraud. You can also set up your spam filter and personal block list to automatically send unwanted calls to voicemail. Call Filter costs $2.99 per month, but starting in March, Verizon customers will be able to turn on spam alerts and call blocking tools free of charge.

Spam and robocalls are bad not only because they could potentially scam you, but they just waste your time and take your attention even if you don't answer the call. With the free spam alerts and call blocking tools, annoying spam calls will become less of an issue for Verizon customers without costing them anything.
