The Pixel 2 XL is one of the best smartphones we've ever used. For $850, one could make the argument that its hardware should be up-to-par with the competition -- including the display that suffers from a blue tint, burn-in, and "black smear." It's the software that adds the most value and helps separate this phone from the others.
