Google today made it possible to book appointments at salons and spas via Google Search and Google Maps. Search results now include a "book" button in the business listing that will let people contact the business in question to set an appointment. Google has also added the salons and spas to its Reserve with Google web site, which is dedicated to helping people find local businesses and make reservations. Google said the feature is made possible thanks to partnerships with third-party booking services, such as Genbook, SalonRunner, Rosy, Yocale, and Wellness Living. Google plans to add other booking services, including Books, Envision, MyTime, Schedulicity, Setmore, Shore, SimpleSpa, SuperSalon, and TimeTrade. Google Search and Google Maps are free to download from the Google Play Store.
