Back in CES 2017, BlackBerry teased the public of a new smartphone they were whipping up for release this year. Just a few months later, the smartphone manufacturer finally unveiled the BlackBerry KEYone at the Mobile World Congress 2017. This device came with the usual QWERTY keyboard that made BlackBerry stand out from its competition. What's different for this smartphone model, however, is that BlackBerry has equipped it with Android software.

Not only that, the BlackBerry KEYone is proving itself to be pretty impressive. The device comes with a 4.5-inch scratch-resistant IPS LCD display with 433 ppi. From within, the KEYone is being powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB of RAM, the Adreno 506, and 32GB onboard storage. There is a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 2TB. To take pictures with the device, BlackBerry has included a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus, dual tone LED flash, and 4K video recording. In front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor. Since it is a fully Android device, you have access to the millions of apps available on the Google Play Store.

If you've been interested in getting the KEYone, BlackBerry has some good news for you. They will soon be offering the unlocked CDMA model of the KEYone on Best Buy. When it becomes available, it will have a price similar to the GSM model; which is $549.99. As soon as the device starts shipping, you can already order the KEYone and just pick it up from a nearby Best Buy store.

Shortly after this, Sprint will be offering a branded version of the CDMA KEYone, which will be locked to the network.
