The U.S. government has filed motions looking for a court order that will force Apple to help the FBI unlock an iPhone that belonged to the San Bernardino shooter. Apple CEO Tim Cook, in a letter published earlier this week, said the idea of breaking into the iPhone for the government was "chilling" and "unprecedented" and could lead to a backdoor that would imperil millions. Apple has lukewarm support from Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Twitter. It's not clear how soon the court order may be issued, nor how quickly Apple will be compelled to act.
