Apple today published steps consumers can take to temporarily resolve a bug impacting iMessage. Some users who receive a specific string of characters report that their iMessage app crashes. Apple said it is working on a fix to resolve the issue. In the meantime, iMessage users can have Siri open and read the offending message, reply to it, and delete the message thread to re-enable iMessage.
