Google today updated its Android Wear app for smartphones and Wear devices and added a significant number of new watch faces. Google said Android Wear device owners can now download watch faces directly from the Play Store, and since the new Watch Face API is available, Google expects developers to flood the store with their own watch faces in the weeks ahead. In conjunction with the new faces, Google updated the accompanying phone app to make browsing, downloading, and switching watch faces easier. Google said the Android Wear app updates are rolling out to devices slowly over the next few weeks.
