OnePlus One pre-order system could go live in October

OnePlus One hand

The OnePlus One officially debuted in April, and invitations to buy the device started going out in early June. Despite the fact that consumers have been getting invitations to buy the One for almost 3 months now, though, it’s still pretty tough to come by.

Thankfully, it may soon be easier to give OnePlus your money in exchange for a One. During an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit, OnePlus said that it’s working on a way to accept pre-orders. The system was originally supposed to launch in September, but a delay has caused OnePlus to aim for October instead.

Details on how this whole pre-order system will work are up in the air for now, but considering how hard it still can be to come up with a OnePlus One invitation, it’s nice to hear that anyone may soon be able to hand over some cash for a One. Here’s to hoping that OnePlus can begin actually shipping units to buyers shortly after pre-orders go live.
