Apple wearable said to be debuting in September

Following months and months of rumors, leaks, speculation and guesstimation, it looks like Apple’s wearable device may finally be revealed to the public in September.

In response to a post about the Moto 360’s wireless charging cradle, John Gruber critiqued the 360’s design, calling it a “stupid flat-tire display shape.” Gruber went on to say, “The only way this could get funnier would be if it doesn’t even ship until after Apple announces their wrist wearable thing next month.”

While this news isn’t official, it does add quite a bit of weight to the possibility of an Apple wearable announcement next month. Gruber is well-known for his Apple leaks, having been responsible for leaks related to things like the iPad 2’s resolution and the iPad mini.

As for a September Apple wearable unveiling, such a move could make sense. It’s expected that Apple will take the wraps off of its new iPhone on September 9, so it’s possible that Apple would show off its wearable then. Remember, iOS 8 will bring with it several health-related features.
